There are many terrible things going on right now in the world. People are starving, they don't have good drinking water, animals are left to die in cages with no one to help them. Children are running away from home into the unknown, and people are becoming addicts because their physician prescribed pain-killing prescriptions.

Any person may ask themselves, "What is the use? Why am I here? What can one person do?" I just read in the Bible that anything given to a person in need is as though God took out a loan, and HE repays the giver. Isn't that phenomenal? We can either crawl into a shell like a turtle,...or give. Everyone can give something to help a person, or animal that fears for their very life.

Mary Crowley is gone now, but she owned the Home Interior and Gifts company. I used to sell their beautiful products. She was also an author, and one sentence in her little book of verses said, "Giving takes the worry out of living." We are all passionate about something and so we give to help. Sometimes we have more money than other times, and sometimes all we have to give to someone is our time.

Many people don't realize how important time is to a person who has no one to talk to, or is ignored by family members. A trip to the store, or a visit at home means the world to them and is even better than cash.

Yes, this is a very difficult, stressful and scary time. Many are afraid to dine in a restaurant, or attend a movie. God is the God of Impossible situations, and He will take care of everything in, and at the end. We all just have to be ready at a moment's notice.

The important thing is to never give up, never fold up, scared to death of what's going on in the world. The world is still a beautiful place, gorgeous children at play, lovely birds, beautiful animals, and plants if we simply take the time to enjoy it.

Don't forget to thank the veteran next door, or down the street, for fighting for the freedom we have to write on this wonderful website.

Best wishes,

Pami

Why John,

Thank you for your kind words. Sometimes I feel at a loss for something to say, and then, I usually say too much. Sometimes, I think we all feel as though we're forgotten, and all at once words of kindness are spoken. Thank you for the compliment.
